Video Editing Services – Terms & Conditions

The editor agrees to provide video editing services strictly as discussed and mutually agreed upon through written communication such as WhatsApp, email, or formal agreement. Any work beyond the agreed scope, including but not limited to additional edits, revisions, format changes, subtitles, thumbnails, aspect ratio changes, or re-editing after approval, will be considered additional work and may be charged separately.

The client confirms that all raw footage, images, audio files, logos, music, video clips, scripts, graphics, or any other materials provided to the editor are either owned by the client or that the client has obtained proper rights, permissions, or licenses for their use. The editor shall not be held responsible for any copyright infringement, intellectual property violation, legal claim, platform strike, takedown, demonetization, or penalty arising from the use of such client-provided materials.

In cases where the editor uses or includes any copyrighted music, video clips, stock footage, sound effects, or third-party content—whether suggested by the client or selected during the editing process—the client is solely responsible for reviewing and verifying copyright compliance before publishing the content. Once the client accepts the final edited video (either explicitly or by publishing/uploading it), the editor shall not be liable for any copyright, legal, or platform-related issues arising thereafter, including but not limited to copyright claims, strikes, muting, blocking, removal, demonetization, or legal notices.

The client acknowledges that it is their responsibility to conduct copyright checks and ensure compliance with platform policies (such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, or any other platform) before and after uploading the content. Acceptance of the final output confirms that the client has reviewed the work and assumes full responsibility for its usage, distribution, and publication.

Revisions, if any, will be limited to the number agreed upon prior to the commencement of the project. Minor adjustments may be included as revisions; however, major creative changes or reworking of approved content will be treated as a new project and may incur additional charges.

Delivery timelines provided by the editor are estimates and may vary due to factors such as delayed client feedback, late submission of materials, change in project scope, or technical issues. The editor shall not be held responsible for delays caused by the client.

Payment terms will be as agreed prior to the start of the project. Advance payment may be required, and final deliverables will be released only after full payment unless otherwise agreed in writing. All payments made for editing services are non-refundable, as editing is a time-based professional service.

In the event of project cancellation after work has commenced, the client agrees that any advance payment will not be refunded, and additional charges may apply depending on the amount of work completed up to the point of cancellation.

The editor is not responsible for long-term storage or backup of project files or raw footage after final delivery. The client is advised to download and securely store all files immediately upon delivery.

Unless explicitly restricted in writing, the editor reserves the right to use completed work or excerpts for portfolio, showreel, or promotional purposes. Confidential or unreleased content will not be shared without prior permission.

The editor’s total liability, if any, shall be strictly limited to 50% of the amount paid by the client for the specific editing service. Under no circumstances shall the editor be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or platform-related damages.

All disputes, if any, shall be governed by the laws of India, and jurisdiction shall lie with the editor’s local courts.

By assigning the project, accepting the edited content, making payment, or publishing the video, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
